How to get the most out of my website.

If you have some experience with PPC marketing and are looking for a different approach or some new ideas on how to improve campaign performance, then you are in the right place. However, if you are new to Internet Advertising or Search Engine Marketing, then you should start here.

Managing a PPC campaign can be a time consuming job, even if you already have considerable experience and all the right tools. Generally speaking, if you do not have a great deal of experience, any amount of money you pay a true professional to manage your campaign will be returned in the form of reduced click charges and increased campaign performance. But how do you know how well your campaign is being managed? As a way of determining this, I'm offering a campaign manager quiz. If you don’t have clearly articulated answers to these questions, then perhaps you need to consider making some changes.

Here is how to get your copy of the Campaign Manager Quiz!

Simply go to the Contact Me page and fill out the form. In the "How can I help you?" field, say that you would like a copy of the Campaign Manager's Quiz.

If you are looking to get more out of your PPC campaign, it will be important for you to understand where you are on the road to maximizing your ROI. Almost everyone who manages search marketing campaigns professionally will talk about the need to increase ROI or conversion rates. It is the standard by which all advertising is measured. But what they won’t tell you is that many campaigns are limited in their ability to improve ROI because the website owner is either unwilling or unable to implement specific website functionality.

Before you make any decisions about your current campaign, understand why you are making them and know what you are willing to do to achieve better performance. For more information on this topic, see our page titled PPC implementation strategies.

PPC is simply another form of advertising and it comes at a cost. In this case the costs are incurred each time someone clicks on your ad and is delivered to your website. Then there are the fees I charge to build and maintain the campaign. I charge $100/hr and you pay for my services in advance in blocks of ten hours ($1,000). Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that you will have a positive return on your investment because there are just too many variables which I have no control over, most notably, your website.  Have you ever heard the phrase "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink"? Well, I lead the horse to water, but your website is what makes them drink!

Most of my clients have already tried creating their own Google AdWords campaign and discovered it was deceptively simple, yet devilishly complex. It required a lot more time than they realized and it was costing a lot more money in click charges than they thought it should. But they were determined to keep trying because this was a market they needed to be in. When they considered the time I saved them and the increased efficiency of their campaign, they found it easy to justify my fee. If you would like some insight into whether we might be a good fit, see my page titled My Ideal Client.

If you are the kind of person who likes to do it yourself, please help yourself to the information on my website. However, if you don't want to spend the time and expense of learning PPC on your own, give me a call or fill out the form on my Contact Me page. We can begin a discussion on how to create an entirely new source of prospects for your business using Google AdWords and other Pay-Per-Click direct marketing tools.
